Apprentice Mechanic Workshop (W3)

The Opportunity

To achieve an industry recognised qualification by completing the 4 year workshop apprenticeship training program for the maintenance and repair of TIP tankers & its customers owned tankers to a measured quality standard. You will be based at our Knottingley Tanker Workshop working in a team of highly skilled technicians. You will also receive a comprehensive tool kit and secure moveable tool chest to get you started in the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities/Activities

• To be trained in the service, repair & maintain trailers to a high standard within the company guidelines and to conform with all current mandatory & EHS legislation;
• To be trained to highlight to the branch or workshop manager, any trailers which do not comply with company specifications and/or current legislation;
• To be trained to complete all service documentation in an accurate and timely manner;
• To be trained to identify any recurring or unusual problems with trailers which could suggest a manufacturing problem of the components and report to line manager;
• Attendance of industry recognized apprenticeship training program;
• To project a high customer service at all times;
• Carry out such duties as maybe required from time to time at the request of line management & which are deemed to be within your capabilities.
